Stampede Park is opening its doors and getting ready to welcome Calgarians and visitors from around the world July 5-14, 2024.

Getting to Stampede Park

Public Transit

With 24-hour CTrain service, extended hours on many bus routes and two Express Stampede bus routes, transit is a great way to get to Stampede Park. You can take the Red Line to Erlton Stampede Station or Victoria Park Stampede Station, which will bring you right to the action.

Quick tip: Use Erlton Station for the fastest route to GMC Stadium, Nashville North, the Coca-Cola Stage and the Dog Bowl presented by Haribo. Victoria Park Stampede Station will drop you right near the newly expanded BMO Centre that hosts Immersive Disney Animation, The Market and Stage of Wonders, Western Oasis and Wine Garden, Fleurs de Villes and the Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience. Victoria Park Stampede Station is also the best entrance to head onto the Midway for fun and food for all ages.

Driving

All major intersections in the area have reopened. To improve ease-of-access and traffic flow, several one-way detours will be in place along 5 St SE, 14 Ave SE and Stampede Trail to facilitate drop-off.

Quick tip: Use the Culture + Entertainment District Stampede 2024 Access Map for traffic flow and drop-off locations.

Stampede-Time Public Parking

The Calgary Stampede has public parking available for day use for $30 per entry. Parking is available north of the BMO Centre at the corner of Macleod Trail and 12 Ave, and directly north of Stampede Park in the 11 Ave lot. Vehicles can be left overnight but must be removed by 8:00am the next day.

Accessible parking stalls are available for $30 per entry in Lot 10 and Lot 20.

Additionally, public parking is available in East Village, including the Platform parkade at 407 9 Ave SE.

Rideshare Services

Drop-off for Lyft, Uber and Taxi will be located along 14 Ave between Stampede Trail and 5 St SE outside of the Stampede Trail (North) Entrance and in the Erlton transit loop outside of the Erlton (South) Entrance to Stampede Park.

Pick-up is not the same as drop-off for Rideshare – designated Lyft and Uber pick-up will be located along 10 Ave between Macleod Trail North and 4 St. SE, as well as the Erlton transit loop.

Taxi pick-up will be located along the West side of Stampede Trail outside of the Stampede Trail (North) Entrance and in the Erlton transit loop outside of the Erlton (South) Entrance to Stampede Park.

Bikes, Scooters & Walking

Bike lanes in the area are open. Bike and scooter parking will be available at the Erlton and Stampede Trail Entries.

Sidewalks in and around Stampede Park are also open, allowing for easy pedestrian access.

Navigating Around Stampede Park

The 2024 Stampede Midway has been thoughtfully planned with plenty of room to roam and major attractions spread out across Stampede Park, with mainly new experiences.

Which Entrance should I use?

Erlton (South) Entry
The closest access to the Rodeo and Evening Show in GMC Stadium, the Dog Bowl presented by Haribo, Nashville North and the Coca-Cola Stage.

Victoria Park (West) Entry
The best access to The Market, Western Oasis and Wine Garden, Immersive Disney Animation, Fleurs de Villes and the Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience in the BMO Centre and Midway Food and Games.

Stampede Trail (North) Entry
The best entry for a Stampede Concert Series show, a Monster Energy Compound free style motorcross show, Elbow River Camp, or the Great FUNtier kids’ Midway.

What's in the BMO Centre

Accessible through the big BMO Centre doors near the Victoria Park entrance, across from Weadickville, the BMO Centre hosts Immersive Disney Animation, The Market, Western Oasis, Wine Garden, Art Showcase and the Stage of Wonders. The Stampede Cellar Champions Wine Experience and Fleurs de Villes are best accessed through the BMO Centre doors on Stampede Trail or the sets of doors in the Plaza.

Where can I escape the heat or rain

If you need to beat the heat or rest your feet, there is more seating, more shade and more air-conditioned spaces. From the air-conditioned Range Food Hall on the lower level of The Big Four Building and the Nutrien Western Event Centre, to the Community Stage in the newly expanded BMO Centre, find snacks, shade and seats in more places.
